Burn Tucker Lachaîne is hiring a bookkeeper/office administrator to join our team on a part-time, permanent basis. We are a boutique firm specializing in plaintiff personal injury and long term disability claims. We have an extraordinary team and are looking to add a part-time person to work with our financial and office management team which includes a bookkeeper/office administrator and our managing partner.
The position requires someone who can work both independently and as part of a team. We require someone who is well organized, detail-oriented and flexible and who has a cooperative approach to team work. Candidates should possess strong verbal and written communication skills and experience with accounting software programs. Experience with PC Law would be an asset.
The position involves handling accounts payable, some shared reception coverage duties (lunches and holidays) and carrying out other tasks as directed. There will also be training on all other aspects of the bookkeeping and administrative duties of the firm, to allow for holiday coverage.
At a minimum, applicants must possess a Bookkeeping or Accounting college diploma and/or relevant experience working in a law firm setting. Recent graduates will be considered but preference will be given to candidates with experience.

There is flexibility currently between remote work and in-office work. All candidates should be able to commute to Ottawa or be willing to relocate to the Ottawa region for at least some in-office work, as may be required.
