At Burn Tucker Lachaîne, we proudly support our community.  We are currently working hard on raising funds to purchase bike helmets for Ottawa students.  On May 9, 2019, we will be attending the annual charity auction and dinner for the Volunteer Association of the Rehabilitation Centre.

In the past year, our firm sponsored Team Chris Inglis – a curling team of 4 young men who had a very successful season.

Team Inglis is comprised of Chris Inglis, Lucas Bourguignon, Gavin Lydiate and Brayden McGuire.  The team is coached by Marc Bourguignon, an NCCP curling coach.  They are part of the RCMP Curling Club in Ottawa.  Chris, Lucas, Gavin and Brayden are between the ages of 16 and 18. This has been an extremely busy year for them as some of them are graduating from high school in June.

In addition to school work and part-time jobs, these teammates got together throughout the year for several practices and out-of-town bonspiels (tournaments).  The team won the Titan Slam, Hogline Spiel and K-W U18 Cashspiel and they were 5^th place finalist at the Ontario U18 Men’s Provincials.

The dedication of Team Inglis went beyond the curling club. They were scheduled to compete in a bonspiel the weekend the tornado hit Ottawa. The bonspiel was cancelled as there was no electricity at the curling club.  The following weekend, Team Inglis participated in the Hogline Spiel (which they won!) and they challenged the other teams to bring canned food to replenish food banks in Ottawa, after the food banks had assisted many tornado victims.  In December 2018, they also spearheaded a toy collection drive to help out our local “Toy Mountain”.

Burn Tucker Lachaîne is extremely proud to have been part of the success of Team Inglis. As their curling season is ending, we would like to congratulate Chris, Lucas, Gavin and Brayden for their dedication to their sport and to our community.  We wish them a restful Summer!
