Alison has practiced law since being called to the Ontario Bar in 1995. Since 2001, she has focused exclusively on long-term disability and other insurance matters, including life insurance, long-term care, critical illness, and accidental death and dismemberment claims. She also handles related actions against insurance agents and lawyers. After more than a decade on the insurance defence side, Alison moved to plaintiff-side work in 2014, acting for individuals in disputes with their own insurers.
Today, Alison represents clients across the country, appearing before courts in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the Atlantic provinces under Canada’s inter-provincial mobility rules. She practices out of our Waterloo, Toronto, and Ottawa offices, and currently serves as Chair of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association’s Long-Term Disability Section.
